Amidst the chaos and thrusting boom of the EDM overrun streets of Las Vegas, deep from the depths of the underground comes the luring draw of the devilish deep dark techno spell of Spacebyrdz. Also known as Alex "Annexx" Clark and Oscar Molina, Spacebyrdz have been holding down Vegas and heating up dance floors since their inception at a warehouse party in downtown LA in 2007.
California homegrown but Vegas cultivated, Spacebyrdz have held strong and true to the deep techno in their soul. Slowly shaping and bringing culture to an oversaturated city by providing an outlet and a scene with their RiffRaff Saturday parties that showcase their music, music from their label (RiffRaff), and bringing the best the underground has to offer to an uneducated crowd. When not busy saving souls from the Vegas mainstream, these two heavyweights can be found traveling the world from Berlin to Sonar in Barcelona, to BPM in Mexico, to Lovelife in San Diego and anywhere in between. Unpretentious and unassuming, it always has been and always will be all about the music for these boys. Their immense passion for spreading soul-wrenching deep techno sounds spread beyond their own and into their label RiffRaff. Conceived at a pizza parlor in Miami back in 2009 with friends and musical masterminds Android Cartel / Dance Spirit, the label has served as an avenue to share with the world the sounds they love and the energy they embody through talented artists such as Cari Golden, Silky, Jay Tripwire and Safeword. With their own music on labels such as MEXA Records, Dialtone Records, and upcoming releases on Sullivan Room Records and Faceless Recordings as well as being charted on the Beatport Top 100 in 3 different genres in the past 2 years, it seems the powerhouse duo is gaining recognition beyond the borders of Vegas. With sultry heavy tracks in the works and their new stream of successful AFTER parties around Las Vegas and their highly successful summer pool party at Daylight Beach Club at Mandalay Bay in Vegas the boys have continued to bring some of the best techno talent on the planet and are ready to take the world by storm in 2015 and beyond. |
